Powderhorn Mountain Trail Climb 5K & 15K
The Powderhorn Mountain Trail Climb takes place at Powderhorn Mountain Resort in western Colorado on July 18, 2026. The event uses the Stagecoach Trail and offers two distance options.
The distances are:
- 5K with more than 1,500 feet of elevation gain and a finish at the top of the Flattop Flyer
- 15K consisting of two climbs of the same route, with a downhill section between climbs
Registration includes access to Powderhorn Mountain Resort, a t-shirt, a finisher item, post-race food, and a lift pass. Water is provided at an aid station, at the finish line, and at the 15K turnaround. Runners who complete the 5K can use the resort lift to return toward the base area.
An awards ceremony is scheduled at the base lodge. The event policy states there are no refunds and entries may be deferred until July 11. Volunteer opportunities are available through the event organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
