Races are held on Grand Mesa, a flat-topped mountain with an average elevation over 10,000 ft. Course terrain is mountain single track rather than jeep roads and includes rocky technical climbs, fast-flowing forest single track, wildflower-lined sections, alpine meadows, lakes, streams, and extensive views.
Camping is available in several formats: cabin rentals, campgrounds, remote forest camping, and car camping in the race parking lot. Event amenities and post-race features listed by the organizer include cash prizes for 1st-3rd M/F with an additional $100 for course records, custom finisher awards for 1st-3rd and Masters M/F, a post-race raffle, T-shirts, a burger cookout, and beer provided by Ska Brewing.
