Grand Mesa Ultras takes place on Grand Mesa in Colorado and offers trail races at high elevation. The event includes three distances and is held on mountain trails rather than jeep roads. The mesa has an average elevation over 10,000 ft.
The courses feature rocky, technical climbs, flowing forest single track, alpine meadows, wildflowers, lakes and streams, and wide views. The description notes trail surfaces and terrain typical of mountain running.
