Format and practical information
The 4-mile event is a prediction run: participants estimate how long it will take them to complete the course on park roads. Watches, phones, music players, and other pacing aids are discouraged and the event uses an honor system. Prizes for those closest to their prediction include frozen turkeys, holiday pies or sweets, and gift cards. The 4-mile race is limited to 150 participants; a waitlist is used when capacity is reached.
The 1-mile race is for children ages 6 to 12; each finisher receives a goodie. The Toddler Gobbler 25-yard dash is for age 5 and under and is free; each child receives a bag of goodies. Registration closes November 26, 2025 at 6:00pm CST and there will be no race-day registration. Timing is hand-timed, not chipped, and results are posted later. Parking is very limited and the event proceeds outdoors regardless of weather unless there is a blizzard. Refreshments will be provided.
