Poultry and Pie Predictor 4 Mile Run/Walk and 1 Mile Kids Run
This event takes place at the Barber & Oberwortmann Horticultural Center in Pilcher Park, Joliet, Illinois. It features a prediction-style 4 mile run/walk where participants estimate their finish time and compete to be closest to their prediction. Winners choose from frozen turkeys, holiday pies and sweets, or gift cards.
The event program includes multiple short races for children and families. Distances:
- 4 Miles prediction run and walk
- 1 Mile kids race for ages 6 to 12
- 25 Yards Toddler Gobbler dash for ages 5 and under
Children in the 1 mile race must check in and receive a race bib to obtain an official time. The toddler dash is free and finishers receive a goodie bag. The 4 mile predictor is limited to 250 participants and a waitlist will be used if capacity is reached. Results are hand timed rather than chipped and will be posted after the event.
Parking at the horticultural center is very limited; volunteers will assist with parking. The event is held rain or shine and no refunds will be issued. Refreshments and snacks are provided. Registration fees listed for the events are $20 for the 4 mile, $12 for the 1 mile kids race, and no fee for the toddler dash. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
