The Forge Trail Run Festival - Lemont, IL
The Forge Trail Run Festival takes place on November 14, 2026, with start and finish within The Forge at 227 Heritage Quarries Dr., Lemont, Illinois. The event is set on trails inside The Forge and on adjoining trails around the historic Lemont Quarries and the I&M Canal.
Courses run on a mix of single-track and double-track trails and some gravel sections. Gravel trails are flat. Single-track sections include variable surfaces such as dirt, grass, rocks, mud, roots, mulch, and stumps, with a few short but steep inclines and downhills. There are no significant elevation changes. The organizer rates the course as moderately challenging for experienced trail runners and more difficult for runners with less trail experience. Trail running shoes are recommended.
