The PortRun Half Marathon & 5K takes place on Sunday, September 27, 2026 in Newburyport, MA. Both events start and finish at RiverWalk Brewing Co., 40 Parker St, Newburyport, MA 01950. Distances offered:

- 5K (3.1 miles)
Race details
Both the half marathon and 5K are USATF certified and the event is USATF sanctioned. The half marathon has six aid stations with water and Gatorade roughly every two miles. The 5K has an aid station near mile 1.5. Portable restrooms are available at the start/finish and along the courses. Roads remain open to traffic; local police will monitor traffic and runners are asked to stay to the side. Bag check is not available. RaceJoy is provided for live GPS tracking and progress alerts.
Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in five-year age groups; awards must be picked up at the race tent and will not be mailed. Bib and race swag pick-up is race day only. Parking is not allowed at the start/finish; public parking is available a short walk away at Newburyport commuter lots and nearby Parker St locations (public fees apply). Volunteers earn a free race entry and teams of 10 or more receive a per-person discount. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
