Event details
The Winner's Circle Running Club stages the Santa's Toy Trot on December 14, 2025 in Merrimac, Massachusetts. The event takes place at Sweetsir School, 104 Church St., and includes a children's Elves Fun Run for ages 10 and under that is free and led by a club member. A portion of the proceeds supports the Merrimac Holiday Helper Program. A giveaway, details yet to be determined, will be provided to the first 200 registrants.
Course, distances, awards and fees
Participants follow a 2-mile loop that starts and finishes at the school; runners may repeat the loop to complete longer distances. Distances:
- 2 miles
- 4 miles
- 6 miles
The race is chip timed. Male and female overall awards are offered for each distance, followed by age-group awards in 10-year increments. From age 60, age groups switch to 5-year increments up to 90+, and prizes are awarded two deep. Registration fees listed for standard entries include a reduced fee when a toy is provided; a higher fee applies without a toy, and there is a separate seniors entry that requires registration and the donation of a toy.
