Portland Waterfront 5K
The 10th Annual Portland Waterfront 5K is a flat course that runs along the Portland Trails near Commercial Street. The race starts and finishes at the Casco Bay Lines Ferry Terminal. The primary distance offered is 5K (3.1 miles) and a family team option is available that requires a two person minimum.
Registration options and fees vary by entry type: family team entries are $15 per person with a two person minimum, a 5K entry with pizza and salad is $31, a 5K entry without pizza and salad is $27, and a pizza and salad only option is $12. Registration opens in early September (September 2 or 3, 2026) and closes November 6, 2026.
Post race awards and food are at Portland Flatbread Pizza. Pizza and salad are provided to participants who selected that option or who purchased the pizza and salad only option.
Awards include overall top male and top female finishers, age group awards for top male and female in each of the following groups: 0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 plus. Family team awards are presented to the top five family teams.
The event is scheduled to occur rain or shine. If the race must be canceled due to severe weather, unsafe conditions, or other circumstances beyond the organizer's control, registration fees are non refundable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
