Portland Sea Dogs Mother's Day 5K
The 25th Annual Mother's Day 5K is hosted by the Portland Sea Dogs and the Maine Track Club at Delta Dental Park at Hadlock Field in Portland, Maine on May 9, 2027. The event is presented by Lafayette Hotels and Holiday Inn by the Bay.

- Kids Fun Run (1 mile)
The 5K uses a flat course that begins in front of the Portland Expo building, continues down Park Avenue, turns onto St. John Street and Noyes Street, then proceeds along Oakdale Street, Falmouth Street, Durham Street, Bedford Street, and Deering Avenue before entering Deering Oaks. The course follows the Oaks, exits back onto Deering Avenue, crosses to the entrance to Fitzpatrick, runs behind the bleachers into centerfield, and finishes in front of the third base dugout. Slugger and his Mom lead the way on the course.
Awards include trophies and a pair of 2027 Sea Dogs season tickets for the top overall male and female finishers, who will also throw out a ceremonial first pitch at a future Sea Dogs game. The top three male and female finishers in each age group will receive awards. All participants receive a complimentary ticket to a future 2027 Sea Dogs game.
Proceeds from the race support the American Cancer Society to benefit breast cancer patients and research. Registration details: 5K fee $27, registration opens November 1, 2026 and closes April 9, 2027; Kids Fun Run registration opens December 4, 2026 and closes May 9, 2027, free of charge.
