Portland Sea Dogs Mother's Day 5K
The 24th Annual Portland Sea Dogs Mother's Day 5K takes place on May 10, 2026, in Portland, Maine at Delta Dental Park at Hadlock Field. The event is hosted by the Portland Sea Dogs and the Maine Track Club and presented by InterMed. Commemorative shirts are available to the first 750 registrants in the 5K.

The 5K follows a flat city course that begins in front of the Portland Expo building, travels down Park Avenue, turns onto St. John Street, then Noyes Street, Oakdale Street, Falmouth Street, Durham Street, Bedford Street, and Deering Avenue. The route enters Deering Oaks, follows the Oaks, exits back onto Deering Avenue, crosses to the entrance to Fitzpatrick, runs behind the bleachers into centerfield, and finishes in front of the third base dugout.
Awards include a trophy and a pair of 2026 Sea Dogs season tickets for the top overall male and female finishers, who will also throw out a ceremonial first pitch at a future Sea Dogs game. The top three male and female finishers in each age group receive awards. All participants receive a complimentary ticket to a future 2026 Sea Dogs game.
Proceeds from the race support the American Cancer Society for breast cancer patients and research. Packet pick up and onsite registration take place at Delta Dental Park at Hadlock Field on the Friday and Saturday before the race and on race day.
