Portage Plod 5K
The Portage Plod 5K is scheduled for May 17, 2026 in Portage, Indiana. The event starts and finishes at Founders Square, 6300 Central Ave, Portage, IN 46368. It is presented as a 5K run/walk and is the fifth event in the Race the Region 2026 series.
All registration is online and remains available up to the start of the race. Entry fees change by date: early registration through May 8 is $30 with a shirt or $25 without a shirt and shirt sizes are guaranteed; regular registration from May 9 through May 16 is $35 with a shirt or $30 without a shirt and sizes are not guaranteed; race day registration is $40 with a shirt or $35 without a shirt and shirt availability is not guaranteed. There is no processing fee for online signup.
Pre-race packet pick up is scheduled at Extra Mile Fitness Company, 3400 Calumet Ave, Valparaiso, IN 46383 on May 15 and May 16. Onsite packet pick up will also be available at the race location on race day.
Chip timing and timing mats will be used for results, with live results available via text and email. Timed 5K participants receive finisher medals. Awards include top overall male and female, top masters male and female, and top three in multiple age groups. Awards may be claimed within 14 days after the event at Extra Mile Fitness Company; unclaimed awards will be donated or recycled. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
