Superhero Dash
The Superhero Dash takes place at the Lake County Fair Grounds in Crown Point, Indiana. This athletic event is organized to support children within the Lake County foster system, with all proceeds benefiting local specialized youth camps. The course is designed to be family friendly, and the use of strollers is permitted for participants.
Registration for the event includes a race bib and a commemorative T-shirt for those who complete their registration by the designated April deadline. While the event focuses on the 5K distance, there are separate starting waves for runners and those choosing to walk or use strollers. The race proceeds regardless of weather conditions, and no refunds are issued.
Participants have the opportunity to engage with the superhero theme by dressing in costumes. A competition is held for the best-dressed superheroes, with three prizes awarded based on the votes of the other 5K participants. In addition to the costume awards, the event recognizes the overall top finishing male and female runners.
