Poppy Love 5K - "In Memory of Poppy"
The Poppy Love 5K is the fourth annual memorial run held on May 30, 2026 in Edmond, Oklahoma. The event was created in memory of a dog named Poppy and began after Poppy's owner organized a fundraiser following a puppy's recovery from Parvo with help from a veterinary assistance program. Funds raised support Oklahoma-based rescues and provide financial assistance to local animal rescue efforts.

The gathering is based at JL Mitch #5 Pavilion, 1501 W. Covell Rd., Edmond OK 73003. Dogs are welcome to join the in-person events. Registrations completed by May 15, 2026 include a race t-shirt and a swag bag; registrations after May 16, 2026 or on race day do not include a runner's bag or t-shirt. The event description notes that the race started as a way to give back to animals in need and continues Poppy's legacy following Poppy's passing in February 2025.
