Edmond Turkey Trot
The Edmond Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving morning running event in Downtown Edmond, held at 19 N. Boulevard with packet pickup and registration based at Russell Dougherty Elementary School.
Distances offered:
- 1 Mile Family Wobble: 1 mile
- 5K Run or Walk: 5 kilometers
Packet pickup for 5K entrants and 1 Mile participants who ordered a T-shirt takes place on Wednesday, Nov 25 from 3 to 7 pm at Russell Dougherty Elementary School. Packets are also available on race morning at the same location; 1 Mile participants who did not order a T-shirt will not receive a packet. T-shirt registration closes on Wed, Nov 18 at noon and last minute registration does not include a T-shirt option.
Registration opens September 3, 2026 and closes November 26, 2026. Fees listed for the events are $29 for the 5K and $15 for the 1 Mile. The 1 Mile precedes the 5K on the same morning; 5K runners will be started in waves based on estimated finish times to spread participants on the course. Runners with strollers and dogs on a leash are asked to start near the back for safety at turns. Free parking is available throughout Downtown Edmond. The event is volunteer coordinated and 100% of proceeds benefit Turning Point Ministries and the YMCA. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
