About the race
The Pontesbury Hill Fell Race is a 6km fell running event held near Pontesbury School in Shropshire, featuring a total ascent of 354 meters. It is part of the Shropshire Summer Fell Race Series and is organized by Mercia Fell Runners Club. The race follows a new course introduced in 2024 over Pontesford Hill, offering a challenging and scenic route.
Registration and the start/finish take place on the sports field opposite Bogey Lane, with limited parking available and facilities including toilets and water at the finish.
