Polish Independence Run
The Polish Independence Run is scheduled for October 25, 2026 at Montrose Harbor Grove 16, 600 West Montrose Harbor Drive, Chicago, IL 60613, United States. The event is organized in Chicago by WPNA 103.1 FM and continues a local tradition that began in 2018. The run marks the anniversary of Poland regaining independence on November 11, 1918.
The event offers multiple course options:
- 10 km run
- 5 km run
- 5 km walk
The 10 km and 5 km races use a USATF certified, chip timed course that runs along Lake Michigan and starts at Montrose Harbor. The 5 km walk is not timed. Timing chips are attached to race bibs and are disposable; chip timing is not guaranteed for registrations completed on race day.
All participants receive a custom finisher medal, an event T shirt and lunch after the event. The organizers provide course maps and parking maps for both free and paid parking options. The event is open to all ages. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
