Polar Opposite Peachtree 2027
The Northside Hospital Polar Opposite Peachtree Road Race is scheduled for January 2, 2027. This is the third running of the event and it covers a 10K open to participants age 10 and older. The course starts at Piedmont Park and finishes at Lenox Square, running the Peachtree route in reverse: runners turn right on Peachtree instead of left on 10th and descend where Cardiac Hill is normally climbed.
Registration for the event opens November 2, 2026. Atlanta Track Club members have a 24-hour exclusive registration window when entries first open; after that the event is open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis until it sells out. Entry fees are listed for Members $75 and Non-Members $85 plus additional fees. Wave assignments will be based on submitted race times from 5K and 10K performances in 2026; if no time is submitted, participants will be placed in a later wave.
Finisher items for those who complete the race include an adidas crewneck sweatshirt and a medal. The course has a time limit of 1 hour 45 minutes; participants who fall behind the rolling lane closure mark will be asked to move to the sidewalk and may not receive an official finisher result. No pets or wheeled conveyances are permitted on the course and headphones are strongly discouraged. Awards and age group prizes follow the club’s stated procedures.
