Polar Opposite Peachtree : January 2, 2027
The Polar Opposite Peachtree Road Race is the third edition of a 10-kilometer event held in winter on January 2, 2027. The course starts at Piedmont Park and finishes at Lenox Square, running the traditional Peachtree route in reverse so participants turn right on Peachtree instead of left and descend where Cardiac Hill is normally climbed.
The event is open to participants ages 10 and older. Official finisher items include an adidas crewneck sweatshirt and a medal; these are distributed only to participants who complete the race and cross the finish line.
Registration included a members-only window from January 3 to 12, 2026, and a general public window beginning July 4, 2026. Entry fees varied by registration period and membership status. Wave assignments are based on submitted 5K or 10K performances from 2026; athletes who do not submit a time will be placed in later waves.
Course policies include a 1 hour 45 minute time limit for the 10K (17 minute per mile pace). Rolling lane closures will be used; participants behind the cutoff may be moved to the sidewalk and may not receive an official result. For safety, no pets or wheeled conveyances of any kind are permitted on the course and headphones are strongly discouraged. Atlanta Track Club offers individualized accommodations for Athletes with Disabilities; interested participants should contact the club to discuss needs.
