Polar Opposite Peachtree Road Race : January 2, 2027
The Polar Opposite Peachtree Road Race is a 10K road race held on January 2, 2027. The course runs the Peachtree route in reverse, starting at Piedmont Park and finishing at Lenox Square. On the course participants turn right onto Peachtree instead of left on 10th, and the section known as Cardiac Hill is run downhill rather than uphill.
Registration opened for Atlanta Track Club members from January 3–12, 2026, and general public registration reopens on July 4, 2026. Entry fees listed for the event include Members-only registration at $70, general Members at $75, and non-members at $85, plus additional fees. The event is open to ages 10 and older.
Finisher items include an adidas crewneck sweatshirt and a medal; these are distributed only to participants who complete the race and cross the finish line. The course time limit for the 10K is 1 hour and 45 minutes, after which participants may be asked to move to the sidewalk and may not receive an official finisher result due to rolling lane closures.
Wave assignments are based on past performances; participants may submit 5K and 10K race times in fall 2026 for wave placement. Pets and wheeled conveyances of any kind are prohibited on the course and headphones are strongly discouraged. Awards and prize procedures follow published club rules, with age group awards mailed after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
