Pocahontas Trail Festival
The Pocahontas Trail Festival takes place Sunday, October 4, 2026 at Pocahontas State Park, 10301 State Park Rd., Chesterfield, VA 23832, US.

The course was redesigned with new hiking trails. The 10k follows a loop and the Half Marathon uses a larger loop; both events cover the same first 10 kilometers. The final 4+ miles of the Half Marathon run on recently built Coop and Trooper Trails, which offer generally runnable footing.
The race staging area is located about 1.5 miles into the park on State Park Rd., past the entrance contact station, at the pool parking lot and boat launch. Start, finish and staging are on the large grass field adjacent to the boat launch. Event activities are located at the black and orange tents on the field.
Timing is provided with professionally chipped race timing and live results. Race numbers include a timing chip on the back; they should remain visible and not be folded. Water stations are placed at approximately 3, 6 and 9 miles; participants are advised to carry refillable water and fuel for remote sections of the course.
Two indoor bathrooms are available near the start and finish: one behind the soda machines in the main pool lot and one near shelter number 2 between the lot and the staging area. Weekend all day parking is currently $10 per car load if no state park permit is held. Awards for the 10k and Half Marathon are presented for male and female competitors in the following age groups: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over.
