Harper's Mill Turkey Trot 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run and Walk
This is the inaugural Harper's Mill Turkey Trot, scheduled for Thanksgiving Day 2026 in Chesterfield, Virginia. The event is centered at The Clubhouse at Harpers Mill, 8600 Pullman Lane, and is presented as a community holiday activity intended to become an annual tradition.

Children under 10 must participate with a paying chaperone. The event will proceed rain or shine; in cases of severe weather, extreme conditions, or significant snowfall a makeup date may be scheduled for the Friday or Saturday following Thanksgiving. Early bib pickup is available at 6101 Harbourside Centre Loop, Midlothian, VA 23112.
Participants are encouraged to wear turkey costumes, Thanksgiving-themed outfits, festive hats, or regular exercise gear. The organizer notes that early registration helps guarantee an event shirt and that registrants should choose the correct entry for their chosen distance.
Race proceeds will support research to find a cure for DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma). Sponsorship options are available with no minimum contribution; organizers welcome monetary donations, in-kind goods such as water or snacks, and event services.
