Harper's Mill Turkey Trot 5K Run and Walk
The Harper's Mill Turkey Trot is an inaugural community 5K run and walk held on Thanksgiving Day in Chesterfield, Virginia. The course begins and ends at The Clubhouse at Harpers Mill, 8600 Pullman Lane. Early bib pickup is available at Lucky Road, 6101 Harbourside Centre Loop, Midlothian.
The event is planned to proceed rain or shine. In the event of severe weather or significant snowfall, organizers may schedule a makeup date on the Friday or Saturday following Thanksgiving.
The event format welcomes a range of activities: running, walking, pushing strollers, costume wear such as turkey outfits, and cheering from the sidelines. It is described as open to participants of all ages and fitness levels.
The first 50 participants to register will receive an official Harpers Mill Turkey Trot 5K T-shirt. Organizers also invite sponsor support with no minimum contribution required; accepted support includes monetary donations, in-kind goods such as water or snacks, prizes, and event services.
