Plymouth Triathlon
Plymouth Triathlon takes place at Mount Edgcumbe, Cremyl, organised by Sportiva Events and registered with British Triathlon. The sea swim takes place in sheltered water with land on both sides. The bike course uses rolling roads with sea views and the run is based on a 5 km lap around the grounds of Mount Edgcumbe. The course is fully marked and marshalled and supported by professional first aid and water safety.
Distances offered are:
- Middle Distance: 1900 m swim, 90 km bike, 20 km run
- Standard Triathlon: 1500 m swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run
- Sprint Triathlon: 750 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run
Entries include professional chip timing, medals for all finishers, a silicone swim hat and a Sportiva drinks bottle. Water and energy drinks are provided for finishers in biodegradable paper cups and there are feed stations on course. Public liability insurance is in place. A Standard Aquabike option is offered with the same swim and bike distances as the Standard Triathlon.
Access to Mount Edgcumbe is available by the Cremyl foot ferry, by the Torpoint Car Ferry, or by road via Cornwall. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
