Race Overview
The Pisgah Farms & Furlongs event takes place in Versailles, Kentucky, centered at Ashbrook Farm. This 5th annual event features several distance options that guide participants through the horse farms of Central Kentucky. The maximum capacity for the in-person races is limited to 600 total participants to manage the race experience.
Distances and Course Routes
The following distances are available:
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon): This chip-timed course is set on paved country roads and passes through four private horse farms: Ashbrook Farm, Newtownanner Farm, Buck Pond Farm, and WinStar Farm.
- 6.2 Miles (10K): A chip-timed route on paved country roads that spans two horse farms, Ashbrook Farm and WinStar Farm.
- 3.1 Miles (5K): A chip-timed run or walk limited to 75 participants.
- Virtual Participant: An option for those outside the area to complete a 13.1-mile or 10K distance in their own location.
Participant Information
The half marathon has a time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes, maintaining a pace of 16 minutes per mile. The 10K has a time limit of 3 hours and 10 minutes, and walkers are permitted in this category. All participants receive a performance T-shirt and a finisher's medal.
Awards and Recognition
The event utilizes chip-timing for all distances. Awards are provided for the top three male and female overall finishers in all distance categories. For the half marathon and 10K, additional awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in five-year age groups.
