Pirate Booty Dash 5K Run/Walk/FunRun
The Pirate Booty Dash is a community running event in Napoleon, Michigan, held on 220 West Street and organized to raise funds for the Napoleon Athletic Boosters. The main competition is a professionally timed 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk. A separate youth fun run of approximately 1/2 mile is offered for children age 10 and under.
The course follows a rural route through the village of Napoleon, passing a local park, running alongside pastures, and winding around the perimeter of Camp Storer. Packet pick up is available the day before the race and on race day at designated locations. T shirts are provided to registrants who meet the stated registration deadline; additional shirts are available while supplies last.
Registration categories and fees are specified for adults, students, families, and the youth fun run, with higher rates applied for later or race day registration. Parking is available at the Ezra Eby Elementary parking lot. Awards include trophies for overall male and female winners, plaques for master winners age 40 and over, and medals for first through third in each age group. Age group divisions start at 12 and under and continue in standard multi-year bands up to 70 and up.
Race timing and official results are provided by a professional timing organization and results are posted during the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
