Event Overview
The APRIL FOOLS' Marathon & 5.5K is a road running event taking place in Spring Arbor, Michigan, on Saturday, April 4, 2026. The event's primary purpose is to raise awareness for distracted driving and advocate for safe pathways for pedestrians, runners, walkers, bikers, and wheelchair users. Proceeds from the event benefit the Kory C Wittman II Memorial.
Distances

- 5.5K Walk for ORS Race Series points.
- Kids Fun Run (free entry).
- Virtual 5K Run.
Venue and Course
The race starts and finishes at Lime Lake County Park & Boat Launch in Spring Arbor. The course is described as flat and fast, utilizing a scenic stretch of the Falling Water's Trail and finishing with a view of the lake.
Registration Details
Registration fees increase over time, starting at a special price of $20 from January 1 to 15, 2026. Tech-style t-shirts are guaranteed for registrations received by February 28, 2026. There are two packet pickup options: an early pickup on April 3, 2026, at a local Biggby Coffee, and a race day pickup at the venue.
Awards and Timing
Overall awards will be presented to top male and female finishers in the 5.5K Run and 5.5K Walk, including Open, Master (40+), and Senior Master (60+) categories. Age group awards will be given to the top three finishers in various divisions. The event will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation, with live results available.
Additional Information
