About the race
The 17th Annual Pink Pumpkin Run is organized by The Foundation for Marshall Medical Centers and takes place in Guntersville, Alabama on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at Guntersville Civitan Park (1130 Sunset Drive). The event includes a timed 5K and a 1 Mile Fun Run, plus on-site music, kids’ activities, photo opportunities, and a Pink Pancake Brunch. Costumes are encouraged and should remain family friendly.
Proceeds support cancer care programs at Marshall Medical Centers, with primary support directed to the Mammography Assistance Program (MAP), which helps remove financial and logistical barriers to annual mammograms. The event’s fundraising total shown is $8,024.61. Teams and individual fundraisers can create pledge pages to raise money for local cancer services and patient support.
Registration notes from the organizer indicate all in-person sub-events are sold out and that there will be no in-person registration on race day or in the weeks leading up to the event. A Sleep In Option is available for those who want a race t-shirt without participating in person; shirt shipping is not included but pickup is offered at packet pickup dates.
