Christmas Classic 5K and Fun Run
The event is held at the Arab City Park Historical Village, address City Park Drive NE, Arab, AL 35016. Note that the main entrance to Arab City Park is closed for construction; the only park entrance is from the south side via Fry Gap Road.
Two race options are offered:
- 5K (chip timed by Fleet Feet)
- 0.6 mile Fun Run for children 12 and under, adults may accompany free
The 5K takes place mostly after dark; glow in the dark items are distributed at packet pickup and participants are encouraged to bring a small flashlight. Awards include overall, masters, and age group prizes. All participants receive a race bib and there is a finish line celebration with refreshments, Christmas cookies, hot chocolate, and Christmas music. A Christmas Classic T-Shirt is available; entries completed by November 29 guarantee a T-Shirt.
Packet pickup and late registration will be at Lifespring Baptist Church in Arab from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday December 12 and at the Arab City Park Historical Village from noon until 4:45 PM on race day. The Fun Run is approximately 0.6 mile and is intended for children 12 and under; the Fun Run T-Shirt is not included but can be purchased separately.
