Pink October takes place on Saturday October 3, 2026 in DFW, TX 75041 (exact place TBD). The event is held during Breast Cancer Awareness Month and raises funds for breast cancer research, including support for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The organizer Run Different offers both in-person and virtual participation.
Distances
- Kid's Dash - short 100–200 meter sprint, free to enter
- 5K - timed, entry fee listed as $35
- 1 Mile - untimed, entry fee listed as $18
- Virtual Option - entry fee listed as $40
Entry, awards and logistics
Registration for the Kid's Dash and the Virtual Option closes on October 3, 2026. The 5K and 1 Mile fees increase after March 31, 2026. Registration for the 5K and 1 Mile includes an event-themed participation t-shirt and a custom finisher medal; t-shirt size is guaranteed only with early registration. Kid dash participants run free and may purchase a t-shirt and finisher medal as add-ons. The 5K is eligible for age group awards awarded four deep in male and female divisions from 0-4 through 80+. Additional awards include Male and Female Overall, Masters winners (40+), and Grand Masters winners (60+). Awards are distributed at the event and will not be shipped.
Volunteers receive a code for a free future race as a thank you. The virtual option includes shipping of the shirt and medal the week of the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
