Event Overview
The Glitter and Grit 5k/10k is a female-only running event located in Irving, Texas. The race features three distinct distances designed to accommodate different levels of experience and interest. The course is open to runners, joggers, and walkers, including those participating for the first time. Participants may choose from the following events:
- Glitter & Grit 5k
- Glitter & Grit 10k
- The Little Grit Run
Participants in all events receive a finisher medal to mark their achievement. Individuals who register for The Little Grit Run also receive a custom bib. The race includes an optional event-themed participation t-shirt as an additional add-on.
Course and Amenities
The event provides several on-course and post-race amenities. Runners have access to water stations and are supported by music along the route. Photo backdrops are placed at the venue. After finishing, a celebration takes place featuring refreshments and opportunities to meet other participants.
Recognition and Awards
The event features an awards ceremony for the 5k and 10k distances. Medals are awarded three deep in age group divisions ranging from 0-9 to 80+. Overall awards are presented to the top female finishers, as well as winners in the Masters (40+) and Grand Masters (60+) divisions.
