Pink Lady Walk 5K
The event is the 13th annual Pink Lady Walk 5K held on October 9, 2027, at Big Spring Memorial Park (Duck Pond) in Athens, AL 35611. The race distance is 5K (3.10686 Miles). Registration opens January 1, 2027 and closes October 9, 2027. The standard registration fee is $25.00; same-day registration is $35.00. The event is non-refundable. T-shirts are included only for registrations completed by September 6, 2027, and shirts are not sold separately.
The course starts and ends at Big Spring Memorial Park and follows local streets through the neighborhood. The route proceeds along Beaty Street to Pryor Street, Pryor Street to Elkton Street, Elkton Street to Skyview Drive, Skyview Drive and boardwalk back to Pryor Street, Pryor Street to Shaw Street, Shaw Street and Chandler Street to Forrest Street, Forrest Street back to Beaty Street, and returns to the park.
Race timing is provided by Bald Eagle Events.
Since 2014 the Pink Lady Walk has raised awareness and provided direct financial support to people diagnosed with breast cancer. The organization reports assistance to 25 breast cancer survivors and one child with cancer, and contributions to Hospice of Limestone County, a Patient Assistance Fund at The Southern Cancer Center in Huntsville, and the Joy to Life Foundation in Montgomery.
