Pine Knoll Shores Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk and 1.5 Mile Dog Stroll
The Pine Knoll Shores Turkey Trot is the 19th annual community run and walk held in Pine Knoll Shores, North Carolina. The event is based at McNeill Park and uses the residential streets of the town; the 5K course also passes through the Crystal Coast Country Club golf course. Dogs and baby strollers are not permitted on the golf course.
Distances offered:
- 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk
- 1.5-mile dog stroll around the town streets
Entry for both events is free, with online registration available through November 25 and in-person registration available the day before and on the morning of the event, subject to a cutoff before the race. Attendance is limited to 400 registrations. Participants may order event T-shirts for purchase and pick them up the day before or on event morning at McNeill Park pavilion.
At the finish line, water, bananas, and treats will be provided. The event is sponsored by the Town of Pine Knoll Shores Parks and Recreation Committee and will take place rain or shine. The Turkey Trot supports the Hope for the Warriors Angel Tree project and event organizers request donations to that effort; volunteers will collect donations on site.
