Pine Knoll Shores Turkey Trot 5K Run Walk and 1.5 Mile Dog Stroll
The 19th annual Pine Knoll Shores Turkey Trot takes place on November 26, 2026 at 196 Oakleaf Drive, Pine Knoll Shores, NC 28512. The event is organized by the Town of Pine Knoll Shores Parks and Recreation Committee and will occur rain or shine. Attendance is limited to 400 registrations.
Two distances are offered:
- 5K Run or Walk through residential streets and Crystal Coast Country Club
- 1.5 Miles Dog stroll on the town tree streets, does not enter the golf course
Both events are free. The 5K course follows town streets and passes through the Crystal Coast Country Club golf course; dogs and baby strollers are not permitted on the golf course. Participants who wish to use a stroller for the full 5K are asked to consider completing two loops of the dog stroll course instead. Dogs are allowed on the dog stroll route but not on the golf course.
Online registration is available through November 25, and in person registration is available the day before and the morning of the event at McNeill Park with a cutoff before the race. Participants may order event T shirts when registering; T shirt orders are not accepted after November 12 and ordered shirts can be picked up at McNeill Park. At the finish there will be water, bananas, and treats. The event also includes prize drawings and supports the Hope for the Warriors Angel Tree project.
