PIM Running Festival - Crathes Castle (12 September 2026)
The National Trust for Scotland stages the PIM Running Festival at Crathes Castle in Banchory, Great Britain. The event includes a half marathon, a 5 km race and a children’s 1.5 km race on the Crathes Castle estate and nearby country roads.
Distances
- 13.1 miles Half Marathon, mostly quiet back roads with some level farm tracks
- 5 km route within Crathes Castle grounds
- 1.5 km children's race within Crathes Castle grounds
All races start and finish on the lawn in front of Crathes Castle. The half marathon route travels north and east of the estate, passes toward the Drum Castle estate, and returns in a loop to the finish. The shorter routes remain within the scenic grounds of Crathes Castle.
Prizes are awarded for each event, with specific age-category prizes for over 50s, over 60s, and over 70s in the half marathon. All competitors receive a medal and an event T-shirt at the finish. Age requirements are P1–P7 for the 1.5 km, age 12+ for the 5 km, and age 18+ for the half marathon. Registration closes 9 September 2026.
