PIM Running Festival - Crathes Castle 2026

The PIM Running Festival is scheduled for 12 September 2026 at Crathes Castle, Banchory, and is organised by the National Trust for Scotland. The event includes three races with shared start and finish areas on the castle lawn.

Distances:

• Half Marathon 13.1 miles
• 5 km
• 1.5 km kids

The Half Marathon route leaves the estate onto country roads to the north and east, continues toward the Drum Castle estate and returns in a loop to the finish. Most of the Half Marathon is on quiet back roads with a couple of level, off-road farm track sections. The 5 km and 1.5 km courses remain within the scenic grounds of Crathes Castle and use the same start and finish area as the Half Marathon.

Prizes are awarded for each event, with specific Half Marathon categories for over 50s, over 60s and over 70s. All competitors receive a medal and an event T-shirt at the finish line.
