Stonehaven Half Marathon
The Stonehaven Half Marathon takes place in and around Stonehaven on Sunday 5th July 2026. The race uses local roads and some forest tracks and is not a closed road event.
Distances
- Half marathon run over hilly, scenic and undulating roads and forest tracks.
- 1 km fun run held in the park, open to any age, free to enter, no registration required, medal for every finisher.
The event is approved by Scottish Athletics and the permit includes conditions: runners must be over 17 years old on race day, the course is unsuitable for wheelchairs, and running with buggies or pets is not permitted. Headphones are not allowed and runners must remain aware of other road users and follow marshal instructions.
Registration and facilities are based at the McRobert Pavilion, Mineralwell Park, Stonehaven. Race numbers and timing chips are issued at registration. Limited changing facilities and showers are available at the pavilion; hot water cannot be guaranteed. There is free parking at the nearby Stonehaven Leisure Centre or within Stonehaven town, about a 1 km walk from the start.
There are four water stops on the course. Entrants must register online by the stated deadline; no on-the-day entries will be accepted. Race entries may be transferred until close of business on Wednesday 1st July 2026. No refunds are given unless the race is cancelled. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
