Stonehaven Half Marathon
The Stonehaven Half Marathon takes place on 5 July 2026, with registration and the start located at the McRobert Pavilion in Mineralwell Park, Stonehaven. The event is Scottish Athletics approved and entrants must be 17 years or older on race day. Online entry closes at midnight on 3 July 2026 and no on the day entries are permitted.
The race is run on a route made up of local roads and some forest tracks. The course is described as hilly and undulating and is not a closed road race. There will be four water stops on the route. The use of headphones is not permitted and running with buggies or pets is not allowed. The course is unsuitable for wheelchairs.
Registration on race day issues race numbers and timing chips. Limited changing facilities, including showers, are available at the McRobert Pavilion; hot water cannot be guaranteed. Free parking is available at the nearby Stonehaven Leisure Centre or within Stonehaven town, about a 1 km walk from the start. If needed, race numbers may be transferred to another runner until close of business on 1 July 2026; refunds are not given unless the race is cancelled. The event supports Archie at the Neo Natal Unit and offers an option to donate at sign up. Prizes will be presented after the race in or by the McRobert Pavilion.
