Course and facilities
The half marathon is run over local roads and some forest tracks and is described as hilly and undulating. The race is not run on closed roads. There are four water stops on the course. Limited changing facilities, including showers, are available at the McRobert Pavilion; hot water cannot be guaranteed. Free parking is available at Stonehaven Leisure Centre or in Stonehaven town, about a 1 km walk from the start.
Entry and rules
Online entry closes on 3 July 2026. No on-the-day entries are permitted. Runners must be at least 18 on race day - entrants must be over 17 years old on race day. The course is unsuitable for wheelchairs; running with buggies or pets is not permitted. Race cut-off is three hours from the start. Race numbers and timing chips are issued at registration. Numbers may be transferred to another runner until 1 July 2026; refunds are only given if the race is cancelled.
Safety and prizes
Parts of the route remain open to traffic; runners must remain aware of other road users and follow marshal instructions. The use of headphones is not permitted.
