Chapelton of Elsick 10K : event information
The Chapelton of Elsick 10 km is scheduled for 12 July 2026 and runs through the Elsick House estate, starting and finishing in Chapelton near Newtonhill. The route is undulating and multi terrain: the majority is on tarmac with some farm tracks and a short grass section. Parts of the course use roads that remain open to traffic.
The event is organised under Association of Running Clubs rules and uses chip timing provided by Perfect Timing. There is a water station just after the 5 km point and first aid cover at the start and at the water station. In ear headphones are not permitted except for medically prescribed devices and bone conducting headphones. The course is unsuitable for wheelchairs, and running with buggies or pets is not permitted.
Registration takes place at The Hut, Greenlaw Road, Chapelton, where pre-entered runners collect race numbers; random ID checks will be carried out and a bag drop option is available. All finishers receive a medal and a Chapelton 10k memento. Prize categories include trophies and cash awards for top male and female finishers and age group awards, plus a Chapelton Residents Shield for first local male and female finishers. Spot prizes will be drawn after prize giving.
Online entry is handled through Entry Central, entries close at midnight on 30 June 2026, and no entries are accepted on the day. A discount of £2 applies to members of Scottish Athletics and the Association of Running Clubs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
