Chapelton of Elsick 10K
The Chapelton of Elsick 10 km takes place on 12 July 2026 and is the seventh running of this event. All profits are donated to local charities and organisations. The race is held under Association of Running Clubs rules, ARC/26/0372.
The course is an undulating, multi terrain route through the Elsick House estate, starting and finishing in Chapelton near Newtonhill. The majority of the route is on tarmac with some farm tracks and a short grass section. The event is not a closed road race and roads remain open to traffic; runners are responsible for their own safety and must follow marshal and official instructions. The course is unsuitable for wheelchairs, and running with buggies or pets is not permitted.
Chip timing is provided by Perfect Timing. There is a water station shortly after the 5 km point and first aid cover at the start/finish area and at the water station. The use of in-ear headphones is not permitted on sections of open road; bone conduction and medically prescribed earphones are allowed. Toilets are located close to registration and there are no showers. Refreshments will be available at Hume Square after the race.
Entry is online only via Entry Central, with online entries closing at midnight on 30 June 2026 and no entries accepted on race day. Early entry fees are lower and members of Scottish Athletics and the Association of Running Clubs receive a £2 discount. Total places are limited to 350. Notable supporters include Braeside Developments, Acumen Financial Planning, Places for People and Brio Retirement Living. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
