About the race
The Pikes Peak Road Runners Fall Series is four trail races held in different city and county parks around Colorado Springs. The series features a progression of distances over varied terrain, from maintained regional trails and grass fields to rocky single track and hilly sections. Courses may vary slightly with trail conditions.
Distances include:
- 3.8 miles at Bear Creek Terrace
- 4.0 miles at North Monument Valley Park
- 5.5 miles at Piñon Valley Park and Ute Valley Park
- 7.4 miles at Palmer Park
Entrants must be 15 years old or older. The event prohibits animals, baby joggers or strollers, earbuds or headphones, and bikes or trikes; violations result in disqualification. Entry fees include a Fall Series branded buff. Registration is online only and there is no race day registration.
Scoring is chip timed and all awards are based on chip time. Awards are only available to participants who complete all four races. Recognitions include top five overall male and female finishers and top three in 5 year age groups from 15-19 through 85-89. Overall award winners are not eligible for age group awards and there are no cash prizes.
The series has a long history, with the event running since 1979. Race day updates are provided via the club social media channels. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
