Pier to Pier Beach Run : Overview
The Pier to Pier Beach Run takes place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in Myrtle Beach, SC. The event is held on the sandy beach near the Springmaid Pier and runs under the Myrtle Beach State Park Pier to a turn 1.55 miles from the start. Distances offered include:
- 5K
- 1-mile untimed Pier to Pier Fun Run
All race participants receive a custom finisher’s medal and a t-shirt. Registration prior to March 20, 2025, guarantees shirt size; registrations after that date do not guarantee a specific size. Horry County employees register for the 5K with a $35 enrollment fee that is reimbursed after the race; employees who sign up for the Fun Run are not eligible for that reimbursement.
Logistics and Awards
The event location and primary parking is the Nash Street Public Beach Access at 3201 Nash Street, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577. The DoubleTree Hotel parking garage is available for use by Horry County Parks and Recreation, and additional parking can be provided at Shipwreck Island Adventure Golf with Coastal RTA shuttles if needed. Packet pick-up is scheduled Friday, April 24, 2026, at two locations and on Saturday at the race site. The start and finish lines are in the same location near the Springmaid Pier. Awards are given overall (male and female 1st through 3rd) and by age divisions (0-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 plus).
