Course Details
The course is a measured out-and-back route along The Itchen Way. It crosses the Hockley Viaduct. The event operates as a timed challenge with a 7-hour limit. Participants can choose to complete a set number of laps: one lap is approximately 2.62 miles. Five laps equal a half marathon, ten laps equal a marathon, and eleven or more laps qualify as an ultra marathon.
Participation and Logistics
The event uses a flexible start window. The official start time is 08:00, but runners can begin any time up until 13:00. The course closes at 15:00. The event base and finish is at the Garnier Road Car Park in Winchester (SO23 9PA). Parking is available at the nearby St. Catherine's Park & Ride (postcode SO23 9NP). An aid station provides food and drink, including vegan options.
