Hurstbourne 5

Hurstbourne 5 is an annual off road running event held on Saturday 2nd May in the village of Hurstbourne Tarrant in the North Wessex Downs. The main race covers five mile and follows part of the Test Way through woods and farmland.

The course is completely off road, using rural footpaths and woodland tracks and including a couple of undulations. The event has been organised each year since 2009 and typically attracts fun runners, club athletes and local villagers.

The event is organised and run entirely by volunteers and all proceeds are donated to local charities. Car sharing is available. A free technical t shirt is provided for entries received by 24th April. Entries close on 30th April.

Entry fees vary by affiliation and booking date. Earlybird rates until 31st January 2026 are listed for UKA affiliated and unaffiliated entrants. Standard entry rates apply from 1st February until 1st May, and a higher fee applies for entries on the day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
