Peterhead Summer 5k
The event on 12 June 2026 is a 5k road and pavement race organised by Peterhead Athletics Club under UK Athletics rules. The course uses a new route and is held under an SA permit around a certified accurately measured course. Entry for the 5k is limited to 200 competitors and there is no entry on the day. The event is chip timed by WhatsMyTime and all finishers receive a medal.
Prizes are awarded to the first overall male and female and to age-category winners in Under 20, Senior, V40, V50, V60 and V70 for both sexes. Registration takes place at Catto Park Pavilion. There will be a race briefing at the start to cover safety information, and participants will be directed from Catto Park to the start area prior to the race.
The route is mainly on pavements and includes a number of road crossings that will be marshalled. The roads used on the route are not closed to traffic, so competitors should be aware of other road users. Scottish Athletics regulations prohibit headphones during the race except for bone conducting devices. The event is open to runners aged 16 years or older.
