Peterhead Summer 5k
The Peterhead Summer 5k takes place on 12 June 2026 and is organised by Peterhead Athletics Club under UK Athletics rules. The event uses a new route that is certified and accurately measured and held under an SA permit. The event is chip timed by WhatsMyTime.
The course is mainly on pavements and includes a number of road crossings that will be marshalled. The roads on the route are not closed for the event. A race briefing will be held at the start to cover safety information. Headphones are not allowed during the race except for bone conducting headphones as per Scottish Athletics regulations.
Entry for the 5k is limited to 200 runners and there is no entry on the day. The event is open to runners aged 16 years or older. Medal awards are provided to all finishers. Prizes are offered for first overall male and female, and category winners including first Under 20, first Senior, first V40, first V50, first V60 and first V70 for both male and female competitors.
Registration takes place at Catto Park Pavilion. Car parking is available at Balmoor Stadium and Peterhead Academy.
