About the race
The Perseverance Trail Run returns to Cumberland for its 23rd annual edition on September 26, 2026, at Number 6 Mine Park on Derwent Avenue in Cumberland, BC, Canada. The event raises funds for the Cumberland Community Forest Society; current fundraising figures show CA$2,696.77 raised toward a CA$20,000.00 goal. Team and individual fundraising are part of the event, with prizes for top individual and team fundraisers and a special award for the top fundraising team.
The event offers multiple trail distances:
- 3K X-Country Romp : 3 km cross-country route
- 6K Cumby Cruise : 6 km trail distance
- 12K Mountain Run : 12 km mountain trail
Course notes describe pristine single track, winding cross-country trails and twisting forest paths with several elevation changes. Race entries use tiered pricing windows (opening, general, last-chance) that vary by event and date. Teams may register together or separately, consist of up to four individuals, do not need to run together, and team awards are based solely on fundraising totals. The event also lists volunteer opportunities and a merchandise-only registration option that does not include race entry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
