Purpose and organization
The event raises funds for the Cumberland Community Forest Society and aims to promote community connection, physical activity and nature conservation. The Cumberland Community Forest Society is a community-based organization that has helped protect over 545 acres of forest around the Village of Cumberland for recreational, ecological and climate adaptation values. The Perseverance Trail Run is organized and supported entirely by volunteers. Local sponsorship contributes to fundraising for the forest society and to event prizes.
