Canada Day 5th Street Mile : Courtenay

The Canada Day 5th Street Mile takes place on July 1, 2026 in Courtenay near 805 Willemar Avenue. The course runs the parade route down 5th Street and into Simms Park before the parade. The advertised distance is one mile.

Registration is free and closes on June 30. No race day registrations are accepted. Bib pick up is scheduled Tuesday, June 30 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at FOVEO Running, with additional day of bib pickup starting at 8:30 am in the Lake Trail Community School parking lot (805 Willemar Ave.).

There is no official timing; the finish line clock will display elapsed time from the start. After the run, refreshments, draw prizes, and awards take place at Simms Millennium Park. All children receive a freezie award.

For safety, dogs, bicycles, and skateboards are not permitted. Strollers are asked to stay at the back of the field. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
