Perry Wellington Turkey Trot
The Perry Wellington Turkey Trot is an annual community event in Hollidaysburg held at the Blair Regional YMCA complex. The event on November 28 includes three course choices:
- 5 Mile Run
- 2.5 Mile Run
- 2.5 Mile Walk
The 5 Mile course begins and finishes at the old main entrance to the YMCA, follows Brush Mountain Road, and runs through Hollidaysburg with road marshals along the route. The 2.5 Mile course runs through the Hollidaysburg community, begins with a hill then is flat to the finish, and starts facing the opposite direction of the 5 Mile runners. 2.5 Mile runners begin one minute ahead of walkers; walkers start behind runners and must remain walking. Headsets of any kind and pets are not permitted.
Registration opened February 20, 2026 and closes November 13, 2026; the registration fee is $26.00. T-shirts are provided to the first 500 registered participants. Bibs must be worn; lost bibs incur a $5 replacement fee. Race-day changes to event entries are not permitted and registration fees are not refundable.
Race packets will be available for pick up at the Blair Regional YMCA on the day before and on race day. Volunteers are sought for road marshal duties; marshals receive a race t-shirt and post-race food.
Awards include medals for the top three overall male and female finishers in each event, plus top three male and female finishers in these age groups: 6-8, 9-11, 12-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & Over.
