Perry Wellington Turkey Trot
The Perry Wellington Turkey Trot is an annual community road event held at the Blair Regional YMCA in Hollidaysburg, PA. The event features multiple course options and organized packet pickup and registration periods.
Distances offered:
- 5 mile run
- 2.5 mile run
- 2.5 mile walk
Course notes indicate the 5 mile run starts and finishes at the old main entrance to the YMCA and follows Brush Mountain Road and a scenic route through Hollidaysburg, with a final turn onto Hart Street from N. Montgomery Street. Road marshals will be stationed to help direct participants.
Registration can be completed by mail, dropped off at the YMCA, or online. There are early, pre, and day of race registration rates, and a family rate for two or more household members. Children age five and under may register for the short run or walk at no charge. T-shirts are provided to the first 600 registered participants. Race numbers and color bibs are required; a replacement bib is available for a fee.
Rules state that pets and headsets are not permitted. Walkers are required to remain walking and may be asked by marshals to stop running. Awards are presented after the event for overall and age group top finishers across all race categories. Volunteer road marshals are requested and receive a race t-shirt and post-event food.
