Perranporth Triathlon

Perranporth Triathlon takes place on 6 September 2026 at Perranporth Beach, TR6 0EY. The event is organised by IntoTRI in collaboration with Perranporth Surf Lifesaving Club and marks a return after a five-year break to its 33rd edition, with a history dating back to 1987.

The event offers two main distance formats. Wetsuits are mandatory (shortie or full body). The bike courses are looped - Olympic Shark uses two loops and Little Shark uses one loop - and separate run courses are provided for each distance.

  • Little Shark (Super Sprint): 400m swim, 19.0k bike, 3.1k run
  • Olympic Shark: 1500m swim, 36.7k bike, 7.5k run

Age and entry information: Super Sprint entrants must be at least 15 years old on 31/12/2026; Olympic and relay entrants must be at least 17 years old on 31/12/2026. Published entry fees include £45 for Super Sprint, £67 for Olympic, and £80 for Olympic Relay.

The event is part of the Cornish Tri Series. Series scoring awards a maximum of 100 points per event, and overall series qualification requires completion of at least four events plus volunteering or bringing a volunteer to at least one event.
