11th Annual Peoria Hippity Hop
The Peoria Hippity Hop takes place at the Peoria Sports Complex in Arizona. The event features a variety of distances held on the asphalt and concrete paths of the New River Trail System. As a common start and finish line event, the course allows participants to return directly to the venue. The trail system remains open to the public during the races.
The event offers several participation options:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
- Cottontail Dash (0.5 mile fun run)
- Virtual Run
The Cottontail Dash is an untimed half mile fun run designed for children, featuring an egg hunt along the route. Participants in this distance are divided into two waves based on age groups: six and under, and seven and older.
All registered participants receive a custom event medal and a technical fabric shirt or tank top. The half marathon and 10K distances have a four-hour time limit. Course support is provided via water and Gatorade stations, with additional gel stations available for the longest distance. The venue permits the use of strollers, wagons, and wheelchairs, and leashed pets are also allowed on the course. Proceeds from the event support PLAY, Peoria Inc., a local charitable organization.
