Pentyrch Hill Race
The event is a hill race based in Pentyrch with a course length of 11.3 km / 7 mi and total climb of 488 m / 1601 ft. The route is partially marked and for 2026 it reverts to the 2024 line with a slight extension. A safety cutoff is in place: runners reaching the checkpoint just below the Garth summit, approximately 2 miles into the race, after 45 minutes will be asked to discontinue and make their way to the finish.
The venue is Pentyrch Rugby Club, CF15 9QQ, with the stated start location at High Corner, Pentyrch, CF15 9PW. Changing and showering facilities are available at the venue and bar snacks are provided. Registration on the day is by payment of £10 cash or card, with registration open between 5pm and 6.30pm.
