Merthyr Mawr Christmas Pudding Race 2026
Brackla Harriers stages a coastal multi terrain running event at Merthyr Mawr on 13 December 2026. The course is approximately 10 km and is under Welsh Athletics licence 24MTWA00067. Terrain includes sand, track, road and field, with natural features such as sand dunes, hills and flat sections. The route is traffic free.
Entries are online only. Prices are listed as £27 for affiliated runners and £29 for non affiliated runners, with an administration fee of 6 percent applied per order. Entry is limited; a maximum of two runners may be entered per order. Registration opens 13 October 2026 and the deadline for general entry is 13 November 2026. Technical tee shirts can be pre ordered for £15 if registered before midday on 14 November 2026. Race packs with numbers and timing chips will be posted out in late November.
Facilities and arrangements include chip timing, online results, basic bag storage in an unmanned gazebo, and water fruit and snacks at the finish. Parking is included in the entry fee but is limited; organisers request car sharing and note a short walk from the indicated parking area to the start. There is a two hour cut off for safety. The event offers race mementos including a Christmas pudding and a mulled wine stop, and supports local charities. Use of headphones is not permitted.
