Festive 10K
The Festive 10K takes place in Cardiff on Sunday 13 December 2026. The event was previously run as an in‑house race by Les Croupiers RC and is open to the public in 2026 after selling out in previous years.
Entries use chip timing and are available online. The minimum age for entries is 15 on the day. Entry fees are £12 for affiliated runners and £14 for non affiliated runners. The closing date for entries is Wednesday 9 December 2026 or when the event limit is reached.
Race headquarters and number collection are at the Scout Hall in the Pontcanna Fields car park, Fields Park Road, Pontcanna, Cardiff CF11 9LB. The start and finish are approximately a 400 m walk from the Scout Hall. Tea, coffee and cake will be available after the run. Parking is available at several nearby locations but capacity is limited; suggested parking locations include Pontcanna Fields, Llandaff Fields, Sophia Gardens and Llandaff Rugby Club.
The course starts near the stables, runs down the Spine Road towards town, turns left onto the cross path to Blackweir Bridge, then follows the river path to Millennium Bridge. After crossing the bridge the route heads toward the College of Music and Drama, continues through the crossroads to the parkrun start and finish area, turns around at the triangle at the bottom of the steps at the A48 underpass, and retraces back to the Spine Road before finishing near the start. There is a drink station just after the 5 km turnaround. There is no official cut off time though runners are expected to complete the course in about 90 minutes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
