Festive 10K
The Festive 10K is scheduled for Sunday 13th December 2026 in Cardiff. The event uses chip timing and opens online entries. The minimum age for entry is 15 on the day. Entry fees are £12 for affiliated runners and £14 for non affiliated runners. The closing date for entries is Wednesday 9th December 2026 or when the entry limit is reached.
Race headquarters and number collection are at the Scout Hall, Pontcanna Fields car park, Fields Park Road, Pontcanna, Cardiff CF11 9LB. The start and finish for the races are approximately a 400 m walk from the Scout Hall. There is no formal cut off time, but participants are expected to complete the course within 90 minutes, which is roughly 14.5 minutes per mile. Tea, coffee and cake will be available after the run.
Parking is available at several nearby locations but capacity is limited. The locations listed are Pontcanna Fields CF11 9LB, Llandaff Fields CF11 9QJ, Sophia Gardens CF11 9XR and Llandaff Rugby Club CF5 2AZ. Participants are asked not to use the Scout Hall parking bays and to check local parking restrictions.
Course details describe a riverside route. The route starts near the stables, follows the Spine Road toward town, continues via the cross path to Blackweir bridge, then along the river path to Millennium Bridge. After crossing the bridge the course heads toward the College of Music and Drama, proceeds through the crossroads to the parkrun start and finish area, turns around at the triangle by the A48 underpass and retraces to the Spine Road and the finish.
