Weston Christmas Cracker 10k, 13 December 2026
Now in its 38th year, this event is Weston AC’s largest race and takes place in Weston Super Mare. The course is approximately 10 km, largely flat and held on tarmac and beach surfaces; it is not suitable for wheelchairs. First aid provision and a finish water station are available during the event. A lead car, race clock, distance markers and marshals are in place and an event risk assessment has been undertaken.
Timing and results use chip timing with full results published online. All finishers receive a medal. Prizes are awarded for first, second and third male and female overall, and for veteran categories including V40, V45, V50 and older veteran groups; only one prize per runner applies, with separate fancy dress prizes for individuals and teams. Fancy dress is actively encouraged but tinsel is not permitted.
Race headquarters is at the Royal Hotel, Weston Super Mare. Race numbers are to be collected from the Royal Hotel on race day. Supervised kit storage is provided at owners risk and refreshments will be available at the Royal Hotel. Entry is by online registration only, with fees of £18 for affiliated runners and £20 for unaffiliated runners inclusive of processing fee; the closing date for entries is 11 December.
