8th Peco's Beast of Bellefonte 5k
The Peco's Beast of Bellefonte 5k takes place in Wilmington, Delaware, at 700a River Rd. This community sports event features two distinct participation options held on May 17, 2026:
- 5k
- One Mile Walk (untimed)
The event is staged in the Town of Bellefonte and supports the organization More Than Fitness. Participants can expect post-race refreshments and professional chip-timing provided by the MYLAPS BibTag Timing System for the timed 5k portion. Due to insurance liability requirements, dogs are not permitted on the course, and registration bibs are non-transferable.
Awards are presented to the overall male and female winners, as well as overall male and female masters winners. These top results are determined by gun time. Further chip-timed awards are available for the top three male and female finishers in 10-year age increments, ranging from 13 and under to 70 and over. The event also recognizes the top three male and female walkers, the top fundraising individual, and the top fundraising team. The largest team participating in the event receives the Pecos Cup and a gift card.
