Bear Triathlon
The Bear Triathlon is a multi-event triathlon weekend taking place May 22 and 23, 2027, at Lums Pond State Park in Bear, Delaware. The venue address is 1068 Howell School Road, Bear, DE 19701.
The race program includes multiple adult and youth formats with measured swim, bike, and run segments:
- Sprint Triathlon: 0.6 mi swim, 10 mi bike, 3 mi run
- Sprint Aquabike: 0.6 mi swim, 10 mi bike
- Sprint Triathlon Relay: 0.6 mi swim, 10 mi bike, 3 mi run
- Olympic Triathlon: 0.9 mi swim, 23 mi bike, 6 mi run
- Olympic Aquabike: 0.9 mi swim, 23 mi bike
- Olympic Triathlon Relay: 0.9 mi swim, 23 mi bike, 6 mi run
- Youth 7-8 yr: 50 yd swim, 2 mi bike, 0.5 mi run
- Youth 9-10 yr: 100 yd swim, 2 mi bike, 0.5 mi run
- Youth 11-12 yr: 100 yd swim, 4 mi bike, 1 mi run
- Youth 13-15 yr: 150 yd swim, 6 mi bike, 1 mi run
Registration opens October 30, 2026, and closes January 1, 2027. Published entry fees range from $55 for youth races to $210 for some relay entries, with standard sprint and aquabike fees listed near $145 and Olympic fees near $155.
