Proceeds support the Brad Schoener Memorial Music Fund and the MusicMan Academy programs run by the Upper Darby Arts & Education Foundation. Funds are used for instruments, lessons, scholarships, summer camps, community music programs, instrument maintenance, and related educational experiences for students and local residents.
Logistics and race features
Place: Arlington Cemetery, 2900 State Road, Drexel Hill, PA 19026. Race check-in and bib pick-up are located on Arlington Field behind the Arlington Mansion, with free parking available at Drexel Hill Middle School and the Kindergarten Center. Live music is provided along the 5K route, including drumlines, bagpipes, brass ensembles, a ukulele circle, and a flute choir. Finisher medals are working mini-harmonicas; age group awards are full-size harmonicas and overall winners receive 14K gold plated harmonicas. No pets are allowed.
