PECO XC Junior League 2026-27 Race 2
The PECO XC Junior League 2026-27 Race 2 takes place on 13 December 2026 at Pontefract Park, Pontefract, West Yorkshire. It is one of five junior cross country races organised in and around Leeds alongside the senior race league.
Junior races are chip timed and run over approximately one to two miles. Runners who are under 11 on 1 September 2026 (usually school years 2 to 6) run approximately 1 mile. Runners who are 11 or over on 1 September 2026 but under 16 (usually school years 7 to 11) run approximately 2 miles.
Entry is by season ticket purchased online for £8, which provides entry to all five junior races plus the end of season relays and prize presentation. Season tickets can only be purchased online and cannot be bought on the day. Once registered and paid, entrants keep the same race number for the whole season; race numbers contain embedded timing chips and must be retained. Replacements for lost or damaged junior numbers can be purchased at Race HQ for £2.50.
The course is cross country, undulating, and run as a single lap. The event has an entry limit of 700 and a race licence has been applied for. The event is not suitable for wheelchairs.
