Event
The Peasantman takes place on Sunday, August 16, 2026. It is a multi-discipline triathlon event with several race options: Full Steel Triathlon, Full Steel Relay, Full Steel Aquabike, Full Steel Duathlon, Half Steel Triathlon, Half Steel Relay, Half Steel Aquabike, Half Steel Duathlon, Intermediate Triathlon, Intermediate Relay, Intermediate Duathlon, and Sprint Triathlon. The event uses "Steel Distances" that are slightly longer than traditional triathlon distances because of a longer bike course. The race is sanctioned by USA Triathlon. Price ranges for event groups are listed as follows: Full Steel Races $422.18 - $539.33 (incl. $34.33 fee), Half Steel Races $198.53 - $283.73 (incl. $18.73 fee), Intermediate & Sprint Races $97.35 - $155.93 (incl. $10.93 fee).
Location and organization
The event is held at Indian Pines Park, 69 Old Pines Trail, Penn Yan, NY 14527. The race is organized by First Knight Racing and managed by a certified USAT race director/official. Since 2013 the event has contributed over $44,000 to several organizations in the Penn Yan area. Relay team registration requires the team captain to register first under the 3-person relay category, create the team name, and pay the full entry fee; subsequent team members join the pre-existing team during registration with no payment due, otherwise full price will be charged.
