Middle Finger 5K : Geneva, NY
The Middle Finger 5K is a community 5-kilometer run and fitness walk held in Geneva, New York, on May 9, 2026. The ninth annual edition raises funds for Thrive To Survive and directs 100% of donations and proceeds to provide resources for adults living in Ontario, Seneca, Yates, and Wayne counties who are in treatment for a cancer diagnosis.
The event features a sunrise start and includes a commemorative 2026 MF5K unisex shirt and a light breakfast, specifically a breakfast burrito served after the finish. A check-in party is scheduled for May 8 in the Community Room at the Finger Lakes Welcome Center, 35 Lakefront Park Dr., Geneva, NY 14456; local breweries and wineries will offer free tastings and local vendors will have items for purchase.
The race is open to a wide age range and to all ability levels, and participants may register individually or as part of a team. Teams of five or more receive a discounted entry structure: once a sixth person registers they receive $5 off and the original five are refunded $5; additional referral incentives are offered for recruiting more participants. The event emphasizes community support and funds programs such as emotional support, wellness offerings, comfort care packages, and financial assistance for local adults with cancer.
